General Contracting

General Contracting refers to the management and supervision of construction on property that is owned by our clients. This covers new and existing residential and commercial buildings and the work being performed on them including additions, retrofits, renovations, remodeling, repairs, etc. Following is an outline of some of the main aspects of General Contracting work.

We will schedule to visit the job site to evaluate existing conditions, review any architectural plans and meet with clients to discuss the project. Based on our experience, we may also provide recommendations on work needed.

This initial meeting will be followed by the preparation and submitting of a proposal which will detail the scope of work. The proposal will include a fixed price per provided specifications, estimated timeline and project completion date.

Next step is the obtainment of necessary permits, which is typically performed by the project architect with our assistance. Throughout the building process we maintain an ongoing communication with our clients to ensure proper implementation of their needs and specifications. Upon completion of work, an inspection is performed and a Certificate of Occupancy is issued if required by local building codes.Depending on the requirements a warranty of up to one year can be provided.
